Underpinning UK is a division of Peter Wakefield Resteration specifically set up to support our clients that have structural building repair needs. As a specialliest in the Target Fixings Helical Pile solution the system is installed using lightweight driving equipment and transmits the induced loads via the wedge-shaped fins at an angle into the surrounding substrate. The shape of the fins compresses the substrate and increases the effective diameter of the pile. The skin friction is greatly enhanced by compression and the mechanical effect of the fins. The end bearing load is greatly increased by the 'cone' effect of the compression. The loading is equally shared along the whole length of the pile.

Site testing is easily performed by means of a small testing kit to cover the requirements of every site condition.

The Helical Pile can also be utilised for soil pinning and retaining wall restraint. Technical advice is available from Target.
